Ford Super Duty owners have been building their trucks for the backcountry for years, adding bigger tires, lift kits and locking differentials on their own. For 2027, Ford is bringing more of that capability straight from the factory, with more ways to get a Tremor, a new 35-inch tire package for work trucks and a Platinum cab for Chassis Cab models.
Ford says these updates come straight from what customers asked for on job sites, in online forums and on social media. Here’s a friendly rundown of everything new for the 2027 Super Duty, from the most affordable Tremor yet to a long-box Tremor built for hauling.
Tremor Comes to the XL With the STX Appearance Package
For 2027, the Tremor Off-Road Package is available on the XL trim with the STX Appearance Package. That gives buyers a more affordable way into the hardware Tremor customers expect, and Ford says it’s a direct response to what customers were already building on their own.
The package brings the full Tremor kit:
- 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires (LT285/75R18) on 18-inch Matte Black aluminum wheels
- Electronic locking rear differential and limited-slip front differential
- Tremor-tuned suspension with a factory lift
- Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist and Rock Crawl Mode, plus skid plates, water-fording vent tubes and Tremor graphics
For owners who tow for work during the week and head off-road on weekends, this setup lowers the price of entry to serious capability.
Tremor on the Crew Cab With an 8-Foot Box
Since the Tremor Off-Road Package arrived on Super Duty in 2020, one request has come up again and again: Tremor with an 8-foot bed. For 2027, Ford delivers it. The Tremor package is now available on the Crew Cab with the long box for the first time.
This configuration rides on a 4,470 mm (176-inch) wheelbase and carries a 182-litre fuel tank, the largest available on Super Duty. It’s available on the XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trims. With both the 6 3/4-foot and 8-foot boxes now offered, Ford calls it the most configurable off-road offering in Super Duty history.
New XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package

Arborists, forestry workers, mining engineers and utility crews told Ford they wanted more ground clearance and bigger tires on a plain work truck, without branded graphics or costly interior upgrades. The new XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package answers that request.
It’s available on the XL Crew Cab 4x4 single-rear-wheel short box with a 4,064 mm (160-inch) wheelbase. The package adds 35-inch off-road tires (LT285/75R18) on 18-inch Sparkle Silver painted cast aluminum wheels, a factory ride height increase, a limited-slip front differential, an electronic locking rear differential and performance shocks. Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, Rock Crawl Mode, transfer case and fuel tank skid plates, and a full-size matching 35-inch spare round it out.
The exterior stays unbranded with no decals, which makes it a good fit for businesses and government agencies that apply their own graphics. The package also comes bundled with a GVWR Package rated above 4,536 kg (10,000 lbs) and the XL Driver Assist Package.
A Clear Two-Tier XL Off-Road Lineup
The existing XL Off-Road Package, introduced in 2023, is renamed the XL Off-Road 33-Inch Tire Package for 2027. That creates a simple choice within the XL trim between 33-inch and 35-inch setups.
Both packages can be paired with the available Ford Performance Warn winch, rated at 12,000 lbs (5,443 kg). For crews that work far from paved roads, a factory-backed recovery option is a practical addition.
Platinum Comes to the Chassis Cab

Upfitters and owner-operators building overland rigs, horse haulers and race-team tow vehicles have long asked why they couldn’t get a Platinum interior on a Chassis Cab. For 2027, the Platinum trim series is available on the F-350, F-450 and F-550 Chassis Cab.
It brings a Platinum-grade interior, leather seating surfaces and SYNC 4 to Class 3, 4 and 5 trucks, giving buyers who invest heavily in the body behind the cab a matching cabin up front.
The Super Duty Carhartt Package
The 2027 Super Duty also introduces the first-ever Super Duty Carhartt Package for XLT Crew Cab single-rear-wheel 4x4 pickups. It adds a dark-painted grille, 20-inch machined and painted wheels with LT275/65R20E all-terrain tires, off-road running boards, Carhartt graphics on the fender vents, doors and tailgate, and a Carhartt-branded Tough Bed spray-in bedliner. Inside, Carhartt-inspired cloth seats with triple stitching and premium all-weather floor mats finish the look.
